Free CPR and First Aid classes

CPR and first aid for parents of infants and children

Lake Mac Lifeguards will be running free CPR and first-aid presentations for parents at Lake Mac Libraries in July and August 2024.

These sessions will cover the latest first-aid techniques and how to respond in an emergency. 

Topics include:

  • Rendering first-aid to children
  • How to treat an anaphylactic allergic reaction
  • What to do in emergency situations
  • How to do CPR on children
  • How to use a defibrillator

All sessions are free and bookings are not required.

CPR and first-aid sessions:

  • Thursday 12 June – Belmont Library - 10.30am-12pm
  • Monday 7 July  – Toronto Library – 10.30am-12pm

 

CPR and first-aid for adults and seniors

Lake Mac Lifeguards will be running two free CPR and first-aid presentations for adults and seniors at Lake Mac Libraries in June and August 2025.

The sessions will cover the latest CPR and first-aid techniques for adults.

Topics include:

  • Treating cuts and lacerations
  • What to do in the case of a fall
  • Signs and symptoms of a stroke or heart attack
  • How to do CPR and use a defibrillator

All sessions are free and bookings are not required.

  • Friday 13 June - Morisset Library - 10:30am-12pm (please note there is no disablity access for this room, limit of 12 participants for this session)
  • Friday 15 August– Sugar Valley Library Museum - 10:30am-12pm
