Professional development of Women in Sports Administration
The Women in Sport Festival is scheduled for March 2 -10 2024.
Celebrate the athletic excellence of local and national professional, and amateur sportswomen.
Increase awareness of the health and social benefits of taking up sport and/or exercise.
Encourage more women and girls remain active throughout their different life stages
Provide local sporting groups, organisations and businesses increased exposure and the opportunity to boost their membership/customer base.
Educate all members of the community about impact sport can have for women in regard to empowerment, confidence, and its impact on their personal and professional lives.
Establish and support the Women Sports Administrator pipeline to foster and encourage today's female talent into the leading sports Administrators of tomorrow.
On Sunday 3 March between 10am-2pm the festival is holding a Try a Sport day! There will be a number of local sporting organisations keen to test your ball skills, challenge your coordination and inspire you to take up a new sport or become reacquainted with an old one. It will a great opportunity for girls and women to come out and watch or try a variety of sports, without any cost or commitment. There will be something for everyone, each stall has a fun, interactive component that can engage all members of the family!
As part of this fun day we are proud to offer two free Aqua Gentle Fitness Classes at Speers Point Swim Centre
Time: 11am and 1pm (45-minute classes)
