Pool parties

We offer pool parties at Charlestown, Speers Point, Swansea and West Wallsend Swim Centres.

When you hold a party at a Lake Mac Swim Centre, you have exclusive use of our Aquatic Challenger (giant pool float!) for your party and can also have us cater for you.

Aquatic Challenger 

Pool parties have 1.5 hours exclusive use of the Aquatic Challenger and are for a minimum of 10 children. You can invite additional party guests for an extra fee per person. Please note that each Swim Centre has a different Aquatic Challenger designated for the centre. 

Important: Only children aged 6-16 can use the Aquatic Challenger. At West Wallsend, they must be 6-12 years old and 160cm or under in height. All participants must also pass a 15m swim test without floatation aids or assistance before being allowed on the float.

Catering Packages

We offer catering packages (minimum of 10 people). All you need to do is let us know the number of people you would like to cater for, and you can select one or two (from four) hot options to be served to your party group. In addition, each person will receive small chips, a fruit drink box, and an ice block. Catering packages are $11.90 per person. 

Note: Catering is unavailable at West Wallsend Swim Centre.

Booking Deposit

A deposit is required to confirm your party booking. The deposit will be deducted from the total amount, with the balance due on the day of the party. The deposit is non-refundable for cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice. Deposits are refundable or transferable if the Swim Centre is required to cancel a booking due to unsafe weather conditions.

Changes to numbers must be confirmed at least 48 hours before the party date, or the full amount booked and ordered will be charged or taken from the booking deposit.

Pool Party Bookings

Pool parties are now booked online through our My Swim portal. In the portal, you can view availability, let us know your party details, and send through a request for your pool party event. Once approved, you will be asked to pay a booking deposit online to confirm your booking, and you can then arrange to collect party invitations and organise catering.

Note: The booking fee generated in My Swim is for the Aquatic Challenger hire and 10 included entries only. Additional fees per person for extra party guests will be applied once the booking has been confirmed.

If you're not interested in our Aquatic Challenger but still plan to hold a party at a Lake Mac Swim Centre, please get in touch with your preferred Swim Centre. We can explore your options, including lane and room hire, as well as payment options. Contact us today to discuss your party plans!

Note:

• Our splash pads are not available for private hire. These areas are dedicated for public use during our operating hours. While you can't reserve a splash pad for your party, you're more than welcome to join in the fun with our other visitors.

• BBQs and picnic tables may be available on the day but will not be reserved.
